The City is proud to be home to a section of the Ice Age Trail. Signage throughout the City guides your way. More information is available at the Ice Age Park & Trail Foundation website. Golf is a popular activity in the Milton area. Two public courses are available: Oak Ridge Golf Course and Bonny Meade Course. Both are located on Bowers Lake Road, and can be reached at 608-868-4353. This club offers both the nine hole Bonny Meade Course and regulation eighteen hole Oak Ridge course. Both courses have narrow fairways. Water hazards (two lakes) come into play on five holes on the Regulation Course. Most of the greens are sloped, undulating, and fast. There are also some strategically-placed sand bunkers throughout the course. The Bonny Meade Course has water hazards coming into play on all but one hole. This course was designed to mimic the Scottish-links tradition.

The Milton area is one of the most popular camping regions in Wisconsin, with four full-service campgrounds within only a few miles of the City.

Lake Koshkonong

There's quality fishing holes in and around the City of Miton. From Storrs Lake wildlife area to Lake Koshkonong (one of the largest lakes in Wisconsin), you'll be sorry if you forget your pole! Click here for DNR information on fishing in Wisconsin. Click Here for the history of the lake along with recreational activities.

In addition to the fishing oppotunities, power boats, pontoon boats, paddle boats, sailboats, rowboats, and canoes can all be found on the lake. Water skiing, tubing, and jet skiing are also popular.  In the Winter, when ice conditions are right, many people ride ATV's and snowmobiles across the frozen lake. Ice fishing is also a popular winter activity. The Rock River Koshkonong Association sponsors the Koshkonong Bounty Hunt ice fishing tournament every winter and offers prizes for largest fish and tagged fish caught from the lake. Other activities gaining popularity in Newville are the Anchor Inn's Winter Waterland and Break In The Weather parties. Water skiers and belly floppers come from all over for the chance to play in the ice cold Rock River.  You can get a bite to eat, sit on out on the deck, or enjoy a lobster boil at a variety of local restaurants including the Buckhorn Supper Club.
