Volunteering for HospiceCare can be a very rewarding experience in a person’s life. In July, HospiceCare Inc. will offer volunteer training for those interested in making a difference in the lives of others. Volunteer opportunities are available for individuals age 14 and older. Volunteers working with patients must be at least 16 years old. The trainings will be held at HospiceCare Inc., 3001 W. Memorial Drive, Janesville, unless otherwise listed. Pre-registration is required.
Orientation is a pre-requisite to HospiceCare’s direct patient care volunteer training; to attend the In-home/Facility Volunteer training being held in July, individuals must have attended a previous orientation session.
In-home/Facility Volunteers:
Specialized training for volunteers interested in roles that work directly with patients who are living in their own homes or in long-term care facilities in the community. Sessions are held from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.; participants must attend all six sessions.

Session 4: Wednesday, July 21
Session 5: Monday, July 26
Session 6: Wednesday, July 28
Family members of HospiceCare patients must wait at least one year after the death of their loved one before becoming a volunteer.
